Where can I find someone to beautifully write out and illustrate poem for my god-daughter?
Where can I find someone to help me walk more elegantly in high heels?  
How can I get a bit of work here and there without having to give up looking after the children?

These were the problems I was facing when I decided to set up CanAnybodyDothis.ie.  There was nowhere I could go to find people to do the non-mainstream jobs that I needed to get done; and there was nowhere I could go to find occasional bits of work that matched my level of experience. I am currently on a break in my career to stay at home and look after my 3 young girls (aged 2,3 and 6), having worked in the Probation and Charitable sector for a number of years. 

Much as I loved being at home I wanted to have other things to stretch my mind (as well as bringing in a bit of extra money).  I found myself surrounded by others in the same boat – highly qualified and experienced people wanting just odd bits of work to keep them ticking over.  That is when I decided to create a space where people can find occasional work and find someone to do their one-off or unusual job requests!

The aim is simple – to make people’s lives easier and to provide a platform for people to find work when they want it.  I hope it works for you.
